Melissa Hamilton’s practice consists primarily of estate planning, as well as the administration of trusts and estates.
Ms. Hamilton received her B.A. in English from the University of Alabama and her J.D. from Columbia Law School. She practiced at Kelley Drye & Warren in New York City before associating with Lawrence D. Williams and forming the firm Williams & Hamilton. She is admitted to practice in the states of Alabama, California, Maine, and New York.
Lawrence D. Williams (1938-2021) received his B.A. from California State University at Long Beach and his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He then practiced law in Los Angeles and San Diego counties, as a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law (State Bar of California), until his retirement in 2018. Mr. Williams performed sophisticated estate planning techniques, including life insurance, generation skipping, grantor retained annuity, charitable lead, and remainder trusts, private annuities, and asset valuation and charitable gift planning. He also accrued extensive business experience, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, mergers and reorganizations, private placements, buy-sell agreements, leases and various contractual matters, and general business representation. Larry was a brilliant attorney and generous friend and is missed by all who knew him.
Stanley P. Graham practices in the areas of estate planning and taxation and is a certified specialist in the area of taxation law (State Bar of California). Mr. Graham received his B.S. from the University of Arizona and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
